Ok not really but winter has finally hit MN. I actually love it. Spent half an hour shoveling last night and was only a little cold. Sure wish someone was home to make me hot cocoa :(
A lot has been happening since I last wrote. (Need kids to force me to write, I can only talk about how cute the cats are so much) Gabe and I purchased our first house in August. It's totally cute and totally us! It's soooo much better shoveling your own snow instead of the douchey landlords. We went to Mexico in October for Elise and Rob's wedding and had a fab time. Aside from the sea sickness and mexican revenge we experienced when we got home. Thank goodness for dramamine and the fact that we were home. Puppies must wait until summer, which is fine. Since I am a classifieds addict, I see corgi puppies for sale everywhere. And I though they would be hard to come by. I am now full swing into my job and really liking it. Still struggle with teaching adults, but I'll figure it out. The elementary kids get SO excited to see me! So nice to be loved. Christmas is upon us and my shopping is done. Just waiting for Gabe gifts to arrive in the mail. Also back on the workout train, which I had fallen off of quite badly. Will be starting with a trainer tomorrow cause apparently I can't do it on my own. I must be better at this thing so I remember what was happening in our lives as I have no memory of my own. Thank you Internet!!
So the breeder emailed today and said that she just had a litter of red and whites last sunday and another mamma is due in a few weeks. WOOO HOOOO!!!! We could pick one up at 11 weeks after Mexico or wait a few weeks after that. Which might be a good idea, but I'm so excited. Now I just hope Gabe will be on board.
Up 0.8 to 183.8. and that's all I have to say about that.
Been looking at corgi puppies and cute corgi videos. Going to email the breeder and see when the next cute little batch will be. woohoo!!
So my ring has a chip in it. So super lame. The insurance agent didn't put it on our policy when we transferred agents within the same company. Good news, it will be insured since it was the agents fault. To bad for her we are switching agents and she gets a ding on her record. Oh well, people should do their jobs 100%.
I have to go to my yearly appt today and the doctor is a man. Not to thrilled about some random dude digging around down there. I know, I know. He's a professional and has seem it all, but still. Very awkward.
I need to get to the gym. I haven't been in like 2 weeks and it's only 2 months till Mexico. I may not be the hot mama I wanted to be for my hubby. Sad day, but won't get down on myself.
I'm 29 and still have acne. Why can't it just go away with the use of over the counter? It's so annoying. I'd rather be fat and have a perfect face than skinny with zits. Arg.
Being around Paisley made me want babies, though I'm glad Liz is totally honest with me that it might be super hard. It's better than hearing, "Oh it's so wonderful and all rainbows and ponies." No, there may be tears.
Good news, got a super cute dress at the Gap this weekend. Tried it on at full price and told myself I'd wait till it was on sale. I usually wait for more than 50%, but this was a great dress for our trip.
Good news, had fun hanging out with Liz, Dave and little Paisley Jane. It's great how there are friends you don't see in 3 years, and it's like no time has passed.
Good news, the house is coming together. The dead tree is already gone and they are working on the rest. We have filled out the paper work for the mortgage and we went Home Depot wandering yesterday. Pretty sure any remodeling we do will be interesting. My dream of a farm house sink my have to go out the window. I have also been thinking of wallpaper on one small wall in the bedroom. Hehe, we'll see.
Well, up 1.4 to 183. I believe the house stress and pms got to my snacking nerve. Oh well, won't beat myself up.
The house inspection was on Monday and we went back to the sellers yesterday. Now we have to wait till tomorrow to see if they will do what we asked. What an interesting process. You get all excited, put in the offer, then you wait, and have another hill to crest, then wait. So annoying. It will be so worth it though in the end. Though it looks we might have a good crew to help move again. I love our friends. They are sooooo great!!! Someone came to look at the rental today too. I'm sure they were turned off by everything that needs to be fixed, but oh well. The landlords excuse is " I don't have a ladder to get up to the gutters and fix them." Um, you've known they needed fixing for at least 4 months. Home depot is only up the road.
Liz and Dave and Paisley were supposed to be on their way to Fargo today, but poor Liz had to go to ER because of an allergic reaction. I hope everything will be fine cause I'm totally excited to see them!
Wow!! Down 1.8 pounds to 182 even. I swear snacking made me fat. And coffee. If I drink coffee, I get rot gut so I eat crackers equals weight gain. I made up some almond/walnut/raisin mix for when I feel I need something little to eat. Lots of sugars in the raisins, but I think it's ok in small amounts. Can't believe I'm almost in the 170's again. Had to get rid of a dress skirt this week as I was swimming in it. Good, but I really liked that skirt. Thank goodness I already found a suitable replacement.
I judged 4-H demonstration and food review last week and sewing construction and purchased this week. It's so fun to be paid to chat with kids about food and crafts. Love 4-H!!! If you kids aren't in it , check it out. It really isn't just for farm kids (like many people, my husband included) think.
We also put in an offer on a house and it's accepted contingent on them putting in an offer on a house by Friday. I sure hope we get it. It's totally cute! http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/Fergus-Falls_MN_56537_1109789878 I always put the cart before the horse and start planning decorating before we have even moved someplace. I asked Gabe on Monday night, after we put in the offer, what color we should paint the bathroom. I got shushed real quick! :)
I am down 0.6 to 183.8. Thank goodness for the digital scale or I would think I wasn't going anywhere. We have also been looking at houses this week. We have narrowed 13 down to 6. So far. It's really interesting to look at other peoples homes. We saw one with the only connection to the upstairs was a spiral stair case. How inconvenient. And others that were just holes. Found a house we really liked but the neighborhood sucks. Arg. Looking again tomorrow so we will see what happens.

I'm up 0.8 pounds to 184.4. But that's ok as I kind of expected that. Totally worth it to see the fam and eat some yummy food. I'm guessing the weight will come off pretty easy as it's been insanely hot here and I have not much for an appetite after about 10am.
I found my mom a corgi finally. We decided on the name Rex because he has a big head and little arms. He is totally a sweetie although he does try to snap at little kids. I am not surprised however because the little kids at his old family used to poke him in the eye cause they were curious. Who lets their kids do that!!! I'm glad we got him out of there and I'm sure once he figures out our little kids are nice (and will bring him treats) he'll be fine. It was great having him around though, really makes me want to get a dog.
I'll post a few pictures of the reunion later, still need to hit the gym and clean out the car before work.
"Al Roker attacked me" Sob Sob Sniff Sniff. So I would say Al could be called a bit blunt but really? Maybe if you weren't lying, drama queens, people wouldn't have to try so hard to get the real story out of you. I thought the interview was hilarious. I give them 6 months to fizzle from the world and another year to get divorced.
Lost another 1.8 this week so am down to 183.6. All this good eating, I'm still amazed. Though I did make brownies last night. Can't deny yourself everything. I love weighing myself though the day though. Yesterday I gained 4 pounds and then lost a few over ....night. hhhhmmmmm.
Looked a house today with my mom. I know, not my husband. She was excited and we could get in. It's a mobile home on 14 acres. Alot of work. I don't think Gabe and I are ready for all that just yet. We used the realtor that was suggested to us by the mortgage guy but don't think it'll work out. I told him many times what the top of our budget was and then he showed us one of his listings on the way back into town that was 30,000 more than our top. I HATE that. If a person only wants to spend $10 on something, don't bring them another that costs $50. so dumb. So I emailed another guy we met a an open house. Hopefully that will work out cause my list is now at 24 houses to see.
Found my a corgi finally. And he was free. His name is currently Chesney, but we may change that. Have been trying out Harri ( pronounced like the arrgggg in pirate-eez) and he seems to respond well. I'm secretly hoping mom with think he's annoying and we can take him. He's just so darn cute with his big ears and foxy looking face. And he matches our cats and floor.
on The family reunion got me...........
